New Construction of Airport Line between Ruzyně and Václav Havel Airport in Final Stage of Project Preparation
The upcoming new building is part of the planned railway connection between Prague, the airport and Kladno. It consists in the construction of a 4 km long double-track line in the section Praha-Ruzyně – Praha-Letiště Václava Havla, including a new railway stop Praha-Dlouhá Míle. It will be located in the development area near the Václav Havel Airport Prague runway, the Šestka shopping centre and the Prague Ring Road. In the future, an important transport hub with the possibility of transferring to urban and suburban bus transport and potentially trams as well should be established here.
In addition to the P+R car park (with a capacity of up to 2,000 parking places after expansion), a bus terminal will be built on the east and north sides above the railway stop. The design of the railway stop will undergo architectural revision in the project preparation stage.
The entire line modernisation will enable a direct connection of the international airport to the railway, travel time between the centre of Prague and the airport is expected to be around 25 minutes, the journey to Kladno should take half an hour. Správa železnic is closely coordinating the preparation of the project with Václav Havel Airport Prague.Soubory ke stažení
