Reconstruction of the Dispatch Building in České Budějovice Begins
Správa železnic has selected the contractor for the reconstruction of the České Budějovice dispatch building. It became the company Metrostav – EDIKT – AVERS, formed by the mentioned companies. The total renewal of the listed building, which will retain its historical character after the completion of the work and will become a dignified gateway to the South Bohemian metropolis, is going to cost CZK 689,485,000 without VAT.
Construction work will begin at the turn of May and June and is going to last until the end of 2022. It will focus also on the adjoining ground-floor wings under the 1st platform on the north and south sides of the building. It will include the reconstruction of the perimeter cladding, windows and doors, roof, interiors and technical facilities, the existing unused premises will also be revived. Simultaneously with the reconstruction of the dispatch building, the revitalisation of the adjacent outdoor areas is envisaged, where new parking spaces for immobile citizens will be established. A rest zone will be created in the northern area.
The purpose of the project is to carry out a complete revitalisation of the building, optimise operating premises and adapt other areas for commercial use, modernise all publicly accessible spaces and create administrative and operational facilities for employees of Správa železnic. Business units will be established in the busiest places. Passengers safety will be increased by creating the main entrance to the dispatch building directly from Lannova třída. The entire route from the area of the underpasses below the platforms through the building to Lannova třída will be fully barrier-free.Soubory ke stažení
