Správa železnic called a Tender for Beroun Passenger Building Reconstruction

The reconstruction will include a new façade and its heating, a new roof, an exchange of windows and doors, adapting surfaces of walls and ceilings, floor finish and exchanging interior doors. A new distribution system will be built for the whole complex (sewerage, water, heating, wiring). The passenger building will be newly equipped with a system of cooling and air exchange. Construction works will also affect underground floors where new water proofing of walls under the terrain level will be carried out as well as sanitation of cellar space and eliminating humidity. The reconstruction will also deal with extending the information and camera system.

Bigger dispositional changes will occur in the departure hall, cash desks will be moved and further commercial premises will be created. The modernization’s objective is the to revive the entire building and to improve travelling comfort. Construction works should start this June and will take 24 months. The reconstruction will be carried out in stages; the departure hall will be still at disposal to passengers, although in a restricted mode.
