Správa železnic obtained zoning decision for another section of airport line
With obtaining a binding zoning decision, the project to modernise the line between the stations Praha-Ruzyně and Kladno has reached another important milestone. Reconstruction of the more than 15 km long section, the main content of which is the double-tracking and electrifying of the line, is thus one step closer to realisation. It will bring an increase in train speed up to 140 km/h, fully barrier-free accessible stations and stops and up to 1,100 new parking spaces.

Trains return to the line between Sudoměřice and Votice, modernisation of the section nearly finished
On Friday, 1 July, trains will return to the railway line between Sudoměřice and Votice on the border of the South Bohemia and Central Bohemia regions. Until the end of August, the new line relocation will be operated on a single track with full double-track operation commencing early September. The modernisation project of the line, which is a part of the fourth railway corridor from České Budějovice to Prague, is coming to its final stage.

Správa železnic received CZK 7.9 billion in funding from CEF programme
Správa železnic continues to successfully obtain subsidies from the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF). Nine projects were supported in the first call of the programme in the new subsidy period 2021–2027. Subsidies in the total amount of CZK 7.9 billion will be used for several modernisation projects on railway infrastructure, installation of ETCS control system on corridor lines and preparation of high-speed lines (HSL). The CEF funds were also allocated to software solutions for operation applications of Správa železnic. The average rate of involvement of European resources in construction projects is 82.4 per cent of eligible costs, and 50 per cent in project preparation assignments. A unit subsidy per kilometre of installation of this system is allocated to ETCS technological constructions.

Station building in Veselí nad Lužnicí undergone complete reconstruction
The reconstructed station building in Veselí nad Lužnicí opened to passengers, complementing the recently finished bus terminal funded by the city. Správa železnic completed the year-long renovation, which included changing the interior layout, moving the boiler room to the basement, building toilets accessible from the hall and new commercial space. Construction works were carried out by the company AVERS, the estimated investment costs amount to CZK 61.8 million.

Don't Put Your Life At Risk! Stay Away From Tracks!
Moment of inattention, a bad decision or a gamble. These are the most common reasons for collisions at level crossings. In the vast majority of cases, drivers are to blame, but pedestrians and cyclists are also at fault. In an effort to draw attention to the often tragic consequences of these unnecessary accidents, Správa železnic has traditionally joined the International Level Crossing Awareness Day ILCAD 2022. Message of the 14th annual safety prevention event is “Don't Put Your Life At Risk! Stay Away From tracks!”

Správa železnic Obtained Building Permit for Modernisation of Railway in Kladno
Project of modernisation of the line section Kladno – Kladno-Ostrovec is close to realisation. Správa železnic has a final building permit and the tender for the construction contractor is underway. The entire section will be double-tracked and electrified, the track facility and the station building at Kladno station will undergo reconstruction. There will also be a new transit hub for public transport at the Kladno město stop. Construction should start at the end of this year.

First Phase of Reconstruction of Station Building at Teplice v Čechách Station To Begin
Reconstruction of the extensive passenger building at Teplice v Čechách station can begin. Správa železnic has selected the contractor for the first phase of the works, which includes the repair of the facade and the adjacent platform. The winner of the tender is the company Chládek & Tintěra, Litoměřice, which offered the best price of CZK 236.1 million. The implementation is expected to start this July; the completion of the first stage of work is planned in less than two years.

First Smart Stops Will Be Built on Network of Správa železnic
Správa železnic has announced a public tender for equipping 15 railway stations with electronic information panels, which will be part of the so-called smart stations. The winner of the tender will prepare the project documentation and subsequently carry out the construction work. The total investment costs of the project amount to CZK 39 million.

Správa železnic Concludes Contract with SNCF for Lease of TGV Presentation Unit
French high-speed train will be presented to the public for the first time on 6 June at Prague Main Station. In the following days, it will be on display in Brno, Jihlava and Ústí nad Labem. The arrival of the TGV is part of the existing cooperation between Správa železnic and the SNCF Group on the project of high-speed lines (HSL) preparation in the Czech Republic.

French High-Speed Train TGV to Arrive in Czech Republic
Správa železnic will show the French high-speed train TGV to public. The high-speed railway pioneer on European continent will visit Prague, Brno, Jihlava and Ústí nad Labem. Its longest stop will be the city of Brno, the economic, political and cultural centre of Moravia, where it will be featured as a part of the Správa železnic' exposition during the trade show Rail Business Days 2022.
