Revitalization Construction of the Line Týniště nad Orlicí – Broumov Is Complete
Reconstruction of an important railway section in Hradec Králové Region is complete. The line construction was carried out by the company Společnost Týniště – Broumov, associating the following construction companies: Starmon, EUROVIA CS, Chládek a Tintěra, Pardubice and GJW Praha. The project investor is Správa železniční dopravní cesty. In connection with works’ completion, the closure in this section ends as well.

Modernized Corridor Part from Praha-Uhříněves to Votice Will Acquire ETCS Next Year Already
Introducing the unified European Train Control System (ETCS) on the Czech railway accelerates more and more. Next year already, it will be acquired by an important part of Czech Rail Transit Corridor IV. Today, Správa železniční dopravní cesty (SŽDC) festively launched the installation of a modern train control system in the line section Praha-Uhříněves – Votice. The supplier of works is the company AŽD Praha.

Fanta Building under Reconstruction
First works started on the reconstruction of the facade and roof of the historical Fanta building at the biggest passenger railway station in the Czech Republic. Renewal of the coating of this important building built in the Art Nouveau style will take two years and a half; total estimated investment costs amount to CZK 212 million. The investor of the construction being festively launched today is Správa železniční dopravní cesty (SŽDC); construction and restoration works will be provided by the company AVERS. Financing is assured by the State Fund for Transport Infrastructure.

Project of Czech-Saxon Cooperation Continued with another Workshop
On 17 June, another workshop of the project Cross-Border cooperation for the development of railway transport Saxony – Czech Republic took place in Dresden. Its objective was to present the current project state in the fields of transport, social economy and geology. Outputs reached will help in preparations of a high-speed railway connection between capitals of both countries.

Reconstruction of Čelákovice Station Near Completion
After more than two years of works, the reconstruction of Čelákovice railway station is coming to an end. The construction, having been the first of the investments set on the line Prague – Lysá nad Labem, was festively completed today by Správa železniční dopravní cesty (SŽDC). The supplier was the company Elektrizace železnic Praha.

SŽDC Will Equip the Přerov – Česká Třebová Section with the ETCS System
Up to mid-year 2020, the European Train Control System (ETCS) will acquire another line section. Today, Správa železniční dopravní cesty (SŽDC) festively started the installation of a modern train control system on a connecting route of Czech Rail Transit Corridors I and II from Přerov to Česká Třebová. The supplier of the construction is the company AŽD Praha.

SŽDC Economy Results in 2018
Economy results of Správa železniční dopravní cesty (SŽDC) for 2018 has positive divergences compared to the plan and the EBITDA financial indicator has a positive value of CZK 2.669 billion.

Accidents at Railway Crossings Do Not Decline
Every year, more than 150 collisions occur at level crossings on the Czech railway. Správa železniční dopravní cesty (SŽDC) invests hundreds of millions of Czech crowns into higher safeguarding of level crossings. Nevertheless, dozens of people die there every year, many others suffer injuries. Tragic consequences were shown today during a simulated collision of a train with a van which was prepared by SŽDC within the International Level Crossing Awareness Day ILCAD 2019.

SŽDC Will Solve Střešovice Tunnels Issue by So-Called Option South
Construction of the railway reached this year a turning point when long-term cooperation of the investor and the suppliers of construction and project works bring concrete results already. Reconstruction of the Negrelli viaduct is to be completed in a year, four of the six remaining line sections are under territorial proceedings and the architectonical contest for the shape of the railway station Praha-Veleslavín moved to its Phase Two. However, the most recent news is that Správa železniční dopravní cesty (SŽDC) designed a new option, the so-called Option South for the Střešovice tunnels between the quarters Dejvice and Veleslavín.

Modernization of Negrelli Viaduct Moved On to the Next Phase
Works on repairs of Negrelli viaduct continue intensely in the whole section 1.5 km long under reconstruction. Concreting of the support plate is under way; brick arches in the premises of the Florenc bus terminal including connected pillars are being re-bricked. Insulation is finished on the Hrabov branch as well as cast asphalt, anti-vibration mats are laid down.
