Revitalization and Electrification of Oldřichov u Duchcova – Litvínov Line Launched
Another railway line in the Ústí nad Labem Region will undergo complex reconstruction during the two years to come. Správa železniční dopravní cesty (SŽDC) launched these days a revitalization and electrification of the line section from Oldřichov u Duchcova to Litvínov. Total investment costs amount to CZK 1.1 billion.

Agreement on New Cross-Border Infrastructure between Czechia nad Poland
Správa železniční dopravní cesty (SŽDC) and Centralny Port Komunikacyjny (CPK) concluded an agreement on close cooperation in developing a new cross-border railway infrastructure between the Czech Republic and Poland included in the Trans-European Transport Network TEN-T.

SŽDC and the French Railway Company SNCF Will Cooperate in Preparing High-Speed Lines Construction
A contract on cooperation between Správa železniční dopravní cesty (SŽDC) and Société nationale des chemins de fer français (French State Railway Company - SNCF) about preparing construction of high-speed lines in the Czech Republic was festively signed today. The cooperation’s objective is to prepare a SŽDC Manual for designing high-speed lines on the level “Documentation for issuing a decision on locating a construction” (DÚR).

The European Investment Bank Will Lend the Czech Republic the First 3 Billion for Railway Modernisation
The Ministry of Finance has concluded a loan agreement with the European Investment Bank (EIB) for up to CZK 3 billion to finance the development of the railway infrastructure. This is the first part of the total loan facility of CZK 11.5 billion dedicated to co-finance the modernisation of selected railway corridor sections as approved by EIB and approved by the government last autumn. The project execution is provided by the Správa železniční dopravní cesty (SŽDC) which also concludes an implementation agreement with EIB.

SŽDC Launches the Second Stage of the Přerov Junction Reconstruction Amounting to over Three Billion Czech Crowns
Správa železniční dopravní cesty (SŽDC) concluded a contract for implementation of the second stage of the Přerov railway junction reconstruction which includes a rebuilding of the Dluhonice passing point and the adjacent inter-station sections. Construction works will be carried out by EUROVIA CS, Subterra, STRABAG Rail and GJW Praha companies for CZK 3.22 billion (VAT excluded). It should be finished by the end of 2021. The European Union will help to fund the reconstruction through the CEF (Connecting Europe Facility) programme.

This Year, SŽDC Launches Repairs of Beroun Station Passenger Building
Správa železniční dopravní cesty (SŽDC) prepares a complete reconstruction of the railway station building in Beroun. This week, it opened a tender for a suitable supplier. Estimated investment costs for the modernization of the complex consisting in three buildings connected together will amount up to CZK 228 million.

SŽDC Launches Complete Reconstruction of Letohrad Railway Station for a Price of CZK One Billion
Today, Správa železniční dopravní cesty (SŽDC) festively launched the reconstruction of Letohrad railway station in Pardubice Region, consisting in a complete rebuilding of the trackage and platforms. Construction works will be provided by the company “Rekonstrukce žst. Letohrad” with its associate companies “Chládek a Tintěra Pardubice” and “Elektrizace železnic Praha”.

New Technology Helps SŽDC Firemen Now
New technology helps the Fire Rescue Service of Správa železniční dopravní cesty (HZS SŽDC). Last year, investments into acquiring new vehicles and other special equipment reached a sum of almost CZK 300 million; financing was assured by the State Fund for Transport Infrastructure.

Today, SŽDC Officially Starts Using a New Logo
Today is the D-Day for Správa železniční dopravní cesty (the Railway Infrastructure Administration - SŽDC) as from this day forward it has officially begun to use the new logo. As a part of an innovative corporate identity, the entire visual aspect of the state organisation communication will change within five years at the latest. In addition, it will be presented to the public with a slogan (a claim). Which is: SŽDC. Good Direction.

SŽDC Installed New Type of Folding Anti-Noise Barriers at Sedlec in Prague
Requirements for decreasing the noise burden at places where classical anti-noise barriers cannot be used was the reason for installing a low folding anti-noise shutter on the railway line from Praha-Holešovice to Roztoky u Prahy at the site where the line passes through the city part Praha 6-Sedlec. This is the first use of an anti-noise shutter at all on the network of Správa železniční dopravní cesty (SŽDC).
