Train journey from Brno to the north became faster and more convenient thanks to modernisation
Brno, 28 June 2016 – Správa železniční dopravní cesty (the Railway Infrastructure Administration) has modernised the railway section between Brno-Maloměřice and Brno-Židenice. The main benefit of the project is an increase of the line speed and higher comfort and safety of passengers.

Travelling by train between Tábor and Písek is more comfortable now
Tábor, 27 June 2016 – Správa železniční dopravní cesty (the Railway Infrastructure Administration) improved parameters of the South Bohemian line from Tábor to Ražice. The main objective of the project was to increase the line’s technical state to a level corresponding to European parameters and standards.

The biggest players in the Czech railways signed a memorandum on improving the connection Prague – Munich
Prague, 24 June 2016 – Today, directors of the Railway Infrastructure Administration, Czech Railways (ČD), and ČD Cargo signed a memorandum on cooperation in pursuit of a fundamental improvement of connection between Prague and Munich. On this line, the travel time is nearly six hours, which makes the railway transport uncompetitive. The unelectrified single-track section from Pilsen to Regensburg, which includes several dead points, is absolutely unable to attract customers of both passenger and freight transport.

Railway crossings on the line Čerčany – Světlá nad Sázavou are safer thanks to modernisation
Čerčany, 23 June 2016 – Správa železniční dopravní cesty (the Railway Infrastructure Administration) modernised railway crossings on the line between Čerčany and Světlá nad Sázavou. The reconstruction concerned the railway line crossing with road communications of various levels. The main asset of the project is especially increased railway transport safety in this section and ensuring higher comfort for passengers.

Taking risks? You will pay! Sometimes even with your life…
Hradec Králové, 23 June 2016 – Today, the preventive safety event ”Taking risks? You will pay!“ took place, organised by Správa železniční dopravní cesty (the Czech Railway Infrastructure Administration) and the Czech Police. Through this event which took place in the Hradec Králové Region, both institutions want to warn of risky behaviour of drivers and pedestrians while moving on the railway lines and at railway crossings.

Control and Analysis Centre helps in railway traffic remote control
Prague, 20 June 2016 – Správa železniční dopravní cesty (the Railway Infrastructure administration) festively completed construction of the Control and Analysis Centre for Traffic Control (KAC), being implemented mostly in two technological localities - Traffic Control Centre Prague and Traffic Control Centre Přerov. In accordance with EU trends, this project creates prerequisites to gradually introduce centralised remote traffic control on the whole Czech railway network.

Travelling in the modernised section Stéblová – Opatovice nad Labem is faster, safer and more comfortable
Opatovice nad Labem, 13 June 2016 – Správa železniční dopravní cesty (the Czech Railway Infrastructure Administration) built a second track in the line section Stéblová – Opatovice nad Labem. The project is a first part of the modernisation of the railway line Hradec Králové – Pardubice – Chrudim. The main asset of this construction is especially a line speed increase and ensuring higher passenger comfort and safety.

Regular passenger train collided with a truck at Praha-Chodov
Prague, 10 June 2016 – Fortunately, the collision was only a simulation. By this demonstration of railway firemen’s training, Správa železniční dopravní cesty (the Czech Railway Infrastructure Administration) joined the International Level Crossing Awareness Day ILCAD 2016. The topic of this year is the issue of ignoring warning signals at railway crossings by car drivers

The biggest asset of this project is an increase of safety in this line section as well as smoother railway and road transport and higher comfort for passengers.
