Convenient boarding of trains from all platforms in Roudnice nad Labem

Today Správa železnic festively completed the reconstruction of platforms in Roudnice nad Labem. Thanks to the standard height of 550 millimetres above the track, they are located at the floor level of modern trains and are barrier-free. The companies Chládek & Tintěra and MONZAS have carried out the works in the station since August 2021. The total cost amounts to 425 million crowns.

Passengers in Roudnice nad Labem can now comfortably board trains at a total of five station tracks. The construction of three new platforms required a necessary change in the track facility configuration. Workers then reconstructed the already existing island platform between the two current tracks and at the same time made the necessary raising of its boarding edges.

The pedestrian underpass underwent a major renovation, also in connection with the construction of lifts to ensure barrier-free access. Necessary structural modifications were also carried out in the station building, the staircase was repaired, and a new orientation system was added.

The platforms and the pedestrian underpass received modern lighting, and the traffic in the entire station is monitored by a camera system. Necessary modifications were also made to the overhead contact line and signalling equipment in the station and in the adjacent line sections.

Construction Reconstruction of platforms and establishment of barrier-free access at the railway station Roudnice nad Labem is proposed for financing by the European Union from the Recovery and Resilience Facility (RRF) in the framework of the National Recovery Plan.
