Modernisation of section Pohled – Přibyslav will bring further improvement of Havlíčkův Brod line

Today, Správa železnic announced a tender for the complete modernisation of the nine-kilometre-long section between Pohled and Přibyslav. The three-year reconstruction will bring an increase in speed up to 160 km/h, repaired stations and stops and better parameters for freight transport. Single-track operation will be maintained throughout the entire construction period.

The double-track section between Přibyslav and Pohled will undergo comprehensive modernisation, including the stations and stops Přibyslav zastávka and Stříbrné Hory. It will bring an increase in line speed from the current 100 km/h up to 160 km/h. Reconstruction of the railway substructure and superstructure, all bridge structures, flyovers, overhead contact lines and related infrastructure will ensure the required parameters of the line loading, which is crucial especially for freight transport. An integral part of the project is also the installation of state-of-the-art line signalling system and station interlocking equipment. Regarding other planned constructions on this railway artery, single-track operation is planned for the entire implementation period.

At Přibyslav railway station, both platforms will be repaired, and the pedestrian underpass will be equipped with lifts. Due to the use of the Havlíčkův Brod line by freight traffic, the installation of a long crossover track is planned in Přibyslav. The stop of the same name will get the pedestrian underpass that has been missing so far. A new platform will be built at Pohled railway station, accessible via a pedestrian underpass with lifts. The construction also includes the necessary modifications of the station buildings in Přibyslav and Pohled to accommodate technology. The stop Stříbrné Hory will undergo a complete reconstruction.

The highest admissible bid price is CZK 3,001,635,646 excluding VAT. Preparatory work could start this December, with the most intensive construction activity continuing over the next two years. Final completion is planned for the first quarter of 2027. The work schedule is based on negotiations with carriers and reflects the overlap with the modernisation of another section from Vlkov u Tišnova to Křižanov.

The implementation of the project Reconstruction of the line section Přibyslav – Pohled is proposed for co-funding by the European Union from the Cohesion Fund within the Transport Programme 2021–2027. National funding is provided by Státní fond dopravní infrastruktury (State Fund for Transport Infrastructure).
