Reconstruction of Line Křižanov - Sklené nad Oslavou Launched

Správa železnic launches complete reconstruction of another part of the double-track arterial railway through Bohemian-Moravian Highlands. Reconstruction of the line section Křižanov - Sklené nad Oslavou started in fact this week by handing over the building site. Works will last till April next year during which parameters both of the section between stations and the two stations mentioned above will improve considerably.

More than 9 kilometres of lines will be completely reconstructed which includes – besides the section Křižanov - Sklené nad Oslavou – also both stations mentioned above. At these stations, the railway superstructure and substructure will be renovated and necessary adaptations on the catenary will be carried out. Both centre platforms will be reconstructed to acquire a boarding edge of 550 mm above the track. Barrier-free grade-separated access to the platforms in Křižanov will be assured from the underpass by new by new lifts, at Sklené nad Oslavou station by skew sidewalks. Selected switch points will be equipped with electrical heating. Speed on main station tracks will increase up to 140 kph.

Almost the same works will be carried out in the section between stations Křižanov and Sklené nad Oslavou. A single railway crossing in this section will be reconstructed. Signalling as well as safety equipment will be modernized – not only on the main line and at stations but also on the connected regional railway to Velké Meziříčí.

Reconstruction of passenger buildings is also under way at Křižanov and Sklené nad Oslavou stations; among others, works necessary for installing new technological signalling and safety equipment in the railway office will be carried out.

Total estimated investment costs of the construction designated as Reconstruction of line section Křižanov - Sklené nad Oslavou (excluded)) equal CZK 1,299,942,023 (VAT excluded). The project is suggested for co-financing by the European Union from its Cohesion Fund under the Operational Programme Transport 2014–2020. The EU contribution can amount up to CZK 947,681,954.

Total estimated investment costs of the construction designated as Reconstruction of Sklené nad Oslavou railway station equal CZK 616,703,363. This project is also suggested for co-financing by the European Union from its Cohesion Fund under the Operational Programme Transport 2014–2020. The EU contribution can amount up to CZK 465,768,019.

National financing will be assured by the State Fund for Transport Infrastructure. The supplier of both constructions is the company Společnost Vysočina, consisting of TSS Grade; ELTRA; FIRESTA-Fišer, rekonstrukce, stavby; Doprastav and PORR.
