Správa železnic Headquarters – Architectural Design Competition
Správa železnic has decided to create a modern and efficient environment for its Prague employees by centralizing it in one site. In connection with this intention, it is now announcing an international design competition for the design of a new headquarters, which should be located in the southern part of the Praha-Smíchov district, in an area closely adjacent to the existing dispatching building of the Praha-Smíchov railway station. In the future, other institutions operating within the Ministry of Transport should also be based in this site.

Journey to Poland Will Be Faster and More Comfortable in Two Years
Reconstruction of the line section from Dětmarovice via Petrovice u Karviné to the state border with Poland will bring faster and more comfortable travel by train to our northern neighbours in two years. Správa železnic started it ceremoniously today. It is one of the first projects co-financed by CEF Blending, which combines funding from the EU's Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) and a credit from the European Investment Bank (EIB). The total investment costs of the construction project are close to 3 billion crowns.

Pardubice Railway Junction Will Have Several Platforms; Trains Will Pass Through It Up to 160 km/h
Another important railway junction is undergoing extensive reconstruction on the Správa železnic's network. The railway infrastructure manager ceremoniously started the complete modernisation of the Pardubice main railway station today. Apart from faster and quieter train passage, it will also bring a completely new island platform. In addition, thanks to the construction of a barrier-free footbridge for pedestrians, station will no longer be an obstacle for local residents. Completion of the construction with estimated costs of over 6.3 billion crowns is planned for December 2024.

Signing of a Memorandum With SNCF International
Správa železnic signed a memorandum with the French company SNCF International today. Its subject is the confirmation of the mutual interest in long-term cooperation in the field of development of high-speed and conventional railway system and setting of the future direction of this cooperation. An important part of the mutual partnership will be the creation of a working group composed of representatives of both parties.

Správa železnic Has Announced Architectural Competition for Praha východ Terminal
Správa železnic has announced the first architectural and urban design competition for a high-speed railway terminal in the Czech Republic. Architects, urban planners and traffic engineers received the task of drawing up the concept and design of a new terminal on the outskirts of Prague. In addition to the station itself, it should include a transfer to regional bus transport, a parking lot and a new connection to the D11 motorway. The winning design, which will emerge from the competition, will be presented by Správa železnic at the beginning of next year.

Správa železnic and DB Netz AG Open Tender for Elaboration of Documentation for Zoning Decision for New Railway Line Dresden – Prague
DB Netz AG and Správa železnic are announcing a public tender for design work in the stage of Documentation for zoning decision within the joint project New Railway Line Dresden – Prague. Documentation processing in the phase of pre-project preparation is expected for the years 2020 to 2024.

Reconstruction of Beroun Railway Station Building Has Begun
Central Bohemian town of Beroun will be able to be proud on completely modernised railway station. The recently renovated station will now be joined by a station building, which consists of a complex of three interconnected buildings. Its reconstruction was ceremoniously started by Správa železnic just today. The construction work will last two years; it should be completed in the summer of 2022.

First Czech Railway “Motorway” Grows Between Vinohrady Tunnels and Hostivař
Správa železnic in cooperation with the construction companies Metrostav, Swietelsky Rail CZ and SMP CZ presented to the media the current image of the so-called Hostivař corridor. Constructers realised about two-thirds of the project and they could thus show a larger part of the tracks put into operation as well as rough constructions of new stops.

Also the Line From Pilsen to Cheb Will Acquire the ETCS System
The pan-European Train Control System ETCS will ensure safe operation also on the arm of the 3rd transit railway corridor from Prague to the west of Bohemia. Správa železnic ceremoniously started today its installation on 107 kilometres long section from Pilsen to Cheb, which is also part of the Trans-European Transport ‘Core’ Network. The construction also includes building of new station interlocking equipment at the Cheb station. The investment action is based on the ERTMS/ETCS European Deployment Plan and the National Implementation Plan. The first construction work was started at the end of last year; it will be completed in August 2022.

Trains in Pardubice Will Be Faster and Quieter
Správa železnic has signed a contract for the modernisation of the Pardubice railway junction. The local main station will be fully barrier-free after the reconstruction. Trains will become noticeably silencer and faster by passing through the station. The construction also includes a barrier-free overhead foot bridge, which connects the station forecourt area with four platforms and the southern part of the city. The first planned possessions will begin on 6 September; the construction schedule is planned till October 2024.
