Operation at Lovosice Railway Station Is Safer After Reconstruction
Today, Správa železniční dopravní cesty (SŽDC) festively completed the reconstruction of the signalling and safety equipment at Lovosice railway station. Thanks to this extensive investment, operation safety increased together with travelling comfort and operation reliability of the railway line. The construction also contributed to better transport organizing and to a capacity increase in the given line section.

SŽDC Will Present Once Again Innovations of its Rolling Stock at the Czech Raildays Trade Fair
Správa železniční dopravní cesty (SŽDC) will present this year at the railway technology trade fair “Czech Raildays” in Ostrava more innovations of its rolling stock. On Tuesday 19 June, the christening of a special car MUV 75 will take place first; following that, the infrastructure manager will festively take over the track recording gang car MMD 2. The SŽDC exhibition in Ostrava will also include a new handcar for railway substructure diagnostics and a traditional presentation of the SŽDC Fire Rescue Service.

The Film “You won’t make it! 2” Appeals Again to Maximum Attention and Observance of Regulations Near the Railway
Every year, approximately 30 young people become victims of fatalities or serious injuries with lasting consequences on the railway - as if a whole school class just disappeared. They are classmates, friends, siblings, children and grandchildren … the cause being In many cases inattention and unfortunately needless hazard as well. The task of Správa železniční dopravní cesty (SŽDC) is to support prevention and public education about safety on the railway as much as possible. One of the means to reach this is a sequel to the successful movie “You won’t make it!” Its first clapperboard was shot at the beginning of this week.

Trains on the Louny - Lovosice Line Will Get Much Faster and Safer
In these days, Správa železniční dopravní cesty starts revitalizing the line Louny – Lovosice, thus reacting to the transport concept’s requirement of the Ústí nad Labem Region. After the completion of all works, it will be possible to introduce on the line fast trains from Louny to the regional capital Ústí nad Labem which represents an important source of job opportunities. Investments amounting almost to CZK one billion will bring not only an increase in railway lines’ capacity almost by one half but especially reduced journey times of trains and higher railway operation safety.

Simulated Collision of Passenger Road Car with Train Demonstrated Needless Hazard and Inattention of Drivers
A passenger road car collided with a train; the result was one fatality, two persons were injured. The accident was caused by the road car driver who did not respect the railway crossing signalling system. Such news have been unfortunately quite frequent recently; last year, 160 of these accidents occurred and 57 in the first five months of this year. Fortunately, this specific accident was simulated only; Správa železniční dopravní cesty and České dráhy joined in this way the International Level Crossing Awareness Day (ILCAD 2018).

Railway Passenger Transport Reglar Change as of 10 June
Správa železniční dopravní cesty prepared as of Sunday 10 June a regular change of the railway passenger transport timetable 2018 for 85 lines on the rail network and other lines with nostalgic and tourist trains. This change occurred based on requests from carriers and regions.

Modernization of Rail Corridor IV Reaches Its Final Phase
The modernization of the line section from Sudoměřice u Tábora to Votice being launched right now is one of the last constructions on the southern branch of the Czech transit corridor leading from Praha to České Budějovice and to the Austrian border. After the completion of all remaining stages, travelling between these two cities will get reduced by more than half an hour.

Travelling by Train from Prague to Tábor Will Get Reduced to One Hour
Today, Správa železniční dopravní cesty (SŽDC) festively launched the modernization of the railway line from Sudoměřice u Tábora to Votice. The objective of one of the most important investments in railway infrastructure is to increase transport speed, smoothness and safety on this approximately twenty kilometres long section of Czech Rail Transit Corridor IV.

Top SŽDC Representative Appeals to Carriers about Increased Passage of Ride-Forbidding Signal
Mr. Jiří Svoboda, Director General of SŽDC, is concerned by a high number of cases when trains pass a ride-forbidding signal. That is why he sent today a letter to carriers operating on the Czech railway in which he appealed to their employees to observe the respective SŽDC regulation.
