08.12.2017

On Sunday, 10 December 2017, with a new Timetable entering into force, the railway stops Tábor – Měšice and Veselí nad Moravou – Milokošť will be open for the public. Thus, transport service for residents of urban areas with trains still passing there through only will be improved.

The new stop Veselí nad Moravou – Milokošť is located on the Line No. 340 between the railway stations Veselí nad Moravou and Uherský Ostroh. It consists of a platform 100 m in length with barrier-free access. The boarding edge of a standard 550 mm height above the top of rail enables to disembark and embark modern trains conveniently. Equipment of the stop further includes a reinforced concrete platform shelter in the form that is prepared against vandals, lighting, broadcasting and an orientation system.

On Sunday, the railway stop Tábor – Měšice on the railway line from Tábor to Horní Cerekev will be open for the public as well. A platform of 60 m in length is located next to Průhon Street, thus being about 1 km closer to the centre than the stop Měšice u Tábora that was cancelled a number of years ago.  By its parameters, it meets all requirements of interoperability that are compulsory today such as the height of boarding edge, lighting, a platform shelter, an acoustic beacon for blind persons and a station announcement system. Reconstruction of the surface of the adjacent level crossing and establishing a continuous welded rail form part of the construction of the railway station as well.
