Repairs of another Passenger Building in Central Bohemia Ended

During past months, the passenger railway station underwent complete repairs of the external coating including a windows exchange, plumber constructions, safety elements and wiring. ”Works included premises entrance modifications and a new roof covering on all extensions. The waiting room for passengers has also been repaired as well as external and internal furniture”, said Mr. Pavel Surý, Director General of SŽDC. Public lavatories were naturally reconstructed as well. The relatively well-preserved passenger building roof underwent an inspection; only the damaged ceiling board was exchanged.

After Zadní Třebaň, Zdice is another railway station with a repaired passenger building in the part of Central Bohemia Region, more specifically on the railway line Praha - Plzeň. The station building at Karlštejn is going to be repaired this year as well; next year, the passenger building at the neighbouring Hořovice station is awaiting repairs. What is even more important, an extensive reconstruction of the Beroun railway station will start next year; necessary documents for building licence proceedings are currently being finalized. 

As far as repairs of other railway stations in Central Bohemia are concerned, last year already buildings in Dobříš, Rakovník and Kostomlaty nad Labem were repaired. Plans for this year include finalizing repairs of the passenger building at stations Kutná Hora město and Příbram and starting repairs in Kolín. Besides extensive reconstructions at selected railway stations, minor construction works are being carried out at many places. According to plans, major reconstructions of railway stations in Kralupy nad Vltavou, Nymburk and Mladá Boleslav should start after 2020. Foir each of these three big railway stations, investments reach approximately tens of millions of Czech crowns.
