15.12.2016
Česká Kamenice,
The construction included a renewal of the railway superstructure and substructure, bridges, culverts and signalling safety equipment. Adaptations at railway crossings allowed to increase railway operation safety and to eliminate local speed limitations. The renewal of Markvartice station contributed to a line capacity increase. Thanks to power connections, electrical heating of switches has been assured at selected railway stations.
”One of the main assets of construction works carried out on the railway line 081 is especially higher travelling comfort and operation safety. Passengers will be also pleased by higher line speed and shorter journey times“, said Mr. Pavel Surý, Director General of SŽDC.
In accordance with the objectives of Operational Programme Transport Priority Axis 3 which is an improvement of railway transport outside the Trans-European Transport Network TEN-T, higher transport availability has been achieved, railway infrastructure capacity and operation quality for a prospective transport extent has been assured.
