A Regular Change of Timetable from 11 June 2017
Správa železniční dopravní cesty has prepared a regular change of 2017 rail passenger transport timetable valid since Sunday 11 June on a total of 70 lines with regular traffic and nostalgic and cruise trains. This was done based on requests of the carriers and regions.

Ambitious Repairs Wil Be Carried Out at Brno Main Station
Yearlong preparations stress the demandingness of this year’s works at the main station in Brno with costs exceeding CZK 170 million. On 3 June, SŽDC will start the next phase of necessary repairs at the second most busy railway station in the Czech Republic. Railway transport restrictions will last till 10 September. Repairs of the so-called Prague Viaduct, Platform No 4 and respective tracks to be carried out this year will be followed next year by repairs of switches at the station and the bridge over Křídlovická Street and Hybešova Street. The biggest loading test will be a key modernisation of safety and signalling equipment in 2019 which will not do without a yearlong transport restriction.

A Repaired Passenger Building Serves Passengers in Kostomlaty nad Labem
Today, Správa železniční dopravní cesty festively opened the repaired passenger building at the station Kostomlaty nad Labem. Besides the improvement of the overall appearance, works resulted in an increase of comfort for passengers using railway transport.

A Reconstruction Allowed Increasing Capacity of the Line Nymburk - Mladá Boleslav
Správa železniční dopravní cesty festively completed extensive construction works on the railway line Nymburk – Mladá Boleslav. The main asset of this project was increasing infrastructure capacity on one of the most heavily used single-track lines on the territory of the Czech Republic, ensuring smoother rail transport and improving safety and comfort for passengers.

Modernisation of the Karlovy Vary Railway Station Is Proceeding to the Next Stage
Today, Správa železniční dopravní cesty launched the second part of the modernisation of the Karlovy Vary railway station. The project currently includes a completion of the first stage - a demolition and construction of the passenger building and a rehabilitation of the trackage. Its goal is to improve technical condition of the platforms and shelters and to increase safety and comfort of passenger transport.

Tunnel Boring Machine Victoria Seeks a Milestone of the 3rd Kilometre
The second tunnel tube of the Ejpovice tunnel (part of Homolka) is already almost 70 percent completed. These days, the tunnel boring machine Victoria has overcome nearly three kilometres of excavation of a four-kilometre-long north section of the tunnel. SŽDC succeeds in fulfilling a schedule of the most important section of the modernization of the line Rokycany – Plzeň. The complete opening of the tunnel is expected in December of 2018.

ETCS System To Safeguard Line Section Between Petrovice u Karviné and Břeclav
Today, the implementation of the European Train Control System (ETCS on the line section between Petrovice u Karviné and Břeclav was festively launched in Přerov. ETCS is a part of the ERTMS system for railway traffic control in the whole European Union. Its objective is to ensure smooth international railway operation among different systems of national railways.

A Passenger Train Collided with a Bus in Prague. There Were Dozens of Rescuers.
On Tuesday, April 18, 2017, Integrated Rescue System units trained a coordination of individual activities in an event of an accident with mass injuries. The theme of the event, prepared for approximately 150 rescuers, corresponds to the current phenomenon of recent months, namely disregarding the alert signalling at railway crossings. Almost every day, we can repeatedly see how current the topic is.
