Správa železnic Concluded Contracts of Design Works for HSR Moravian Gate
Designers will prepare documentation for zoning decisions on two construction sections of the high-speed railway (HSR) line VRT Moravská brána (HSR Moravian Gate), which will connect Prosenice with Ostrava. Správa železnic expects the construction to start in 2025. First trains will ride on the tracks four years later.

Správa železnic Approves First Part of Amended Traffic and Signalling Regulation ‘D1’
On the first day of July next year, the amended traffic and signalling regulation of Správa železnic ‘SŽ D1’ will come into force. It regularise the traffic management on most railway lines in the Czech Republic. The amended regulation has already been approved by the Director General of Správa železnic and published. During the first half of next year, competent employees of the railway infrastructure manager and railway undertakings shall familiarise themselves with it.

Railway Line between Praha-Smíchov and Praha-Radotín Is Awaiting Last Year of Modernisation
The year 2022 will mark the grand finale for the construction between Praha-Smíchov and Praha-Radotín. The last part of the construction works will be completed here during December of the upcoming year. The modernisation will have a significant impact, especially on improving the traffic situation around the very busy railway line on the Prague border. The capacity of the railway infrastructure will be increased and the line speed and safety of railway traffic will be improved.

Investments in Rail Network in 2021
Completion of 92 kilometres of modernised lines, the commencement and continuation of modernisation and reconstruction of railway lines and stations, further steps in the preparation of the construction of the first HSR sections or the reconstruction and repair of station buildings with an emphasis on their barrier-free accessibility. This is the year just ending from the point of view of Správa železnic. The infrastructure manager administered a record budget of CZK 60 billion in 2021, of which CZK 37 billion was allocated for investments.

Správa železnic Has Announced Tender for Supplier of Documentation for VRT Vysočina (HSR Highlands)
The section of the high-speed railway line (HSR) from Velká Bíteš to Brno will be prepared by designers in the detailed documentation for the zoning decision. This is already the eighth public contract for the delivery of these key documents for the new high-speed railway network.

Správa železnic Has Made Significant Progress in HSR Preparation in Past Year
In 2021, Správa železnic started works on documentation for zoning decisions, presented the winning architectural design of the terminal Praha východ (Prague East) to the public and announced a number of public tenders related to the preparation of the high-speed railway (HSR) lines.

High-Speed Rail in the Czech Republic Will Be Part of TEN-T Core Network
On 14 December 2021, the European Commission published a proposal to revise the TEN-T regulation , taking into account the objectives of the European Transport Policy, the Sustainable and Smart Mobility Strategy and the Green Deal. During the preparation period of this proposal, Správa železnic was seeking the integration of the high-speed railway lines system (HSR), in particular Via Vindobona (Berlin – Vienna) and Vienna – Ostrava, into the TEN-T Core Network, also in order to obtain the possibility of granting of financial aid from EU funds.

Správa železnic Has Completed Architectural Study of Praha východ HSR Terminal
The first high-speed railway (HSR) terminal Praha východ (Prague East) has a new, modified appearance. In cooperation with the contractor, Správa železnic has completed an architectural study of this future major transport hub. Work on the documentation for the zoning decision is still underway.

Preliminary Market Consultation for the Public Contract for P+R Construction “ETCS State Border Germany – Dolní Žleb – Kralupy nad Vltavou“
Správa železnic has announced the preliminary market consultation for the project of public contract for P+R "ETCS state border Germany – Dolní Žleb – Kralupy nad Vltavou”. The launch of the preliminary market consultation is also announced in the Journal of Public Contracts and through it also in the Official Journal of the European Union system (TED). The Contracting Authority will permit to participate in the preliminary market consultation all suppliers who express an interest in participating in the preliminary market consultation.

Správa železnic Announced Seventh Public Procurement for High-Speed Line Designer
Documentation for zoning decision will be prepared by the designers for the section of the “VRT Střední Čechy” (HSR Central Bohemia) from Poříčany to Světlá nad Sázavou. This section is part of the new high-speed railway line (HSR) from Prague to Brno.
