Railway crossings on the line Čerčany – Světlá nad Sázavou are safer thanks to modernisation
Čerčany, 23 June 2016 – Správa železniční dopravní cesty (the Railway Infrastructure Administration) modernised railway crossings on the line between Čerčany and Světlá nad Sázavou. The reconstruction concerned the railway line crossing with road communications of various levels. The main asset of the project is especially increased railway transport safety in this section and ensuring higher comfort for passengers.

Taking risks? You will pay! Sometimes even with your life…
Hradec Králové, 23 June 2016 – Today, the preventive safety event ”Taking risks? You will pay!“ took place, organised by Správa železniční dopravní cesty (the Czech Railway Infrastructure Administration) and the Czech Police. Through this event which took place in the Hradec Králové Region, both institutions want to warn of risky behaviour of drivers and pedestrians while moving on the railway lines and at railway crossings.

Control and Analysis Centre helps in railway traffic remote control
Prague, 20 June 2016 – Správa železniční dopravní cesty (the Railway Infrastructure administration) festively completed construction of the Control and Analysis Centre for Traffic Control (KAC), being implemented mostly in two technological localities - Traffic Control Centre Prague and Traffic Control Centre Přerov. In accordance with EU trends, this project creates prerequisites to gradually introduce centralised remote traffic control on the whole Czech railway network.

Travelling in the modernised section Stéblová – Opatovice nad Labem is faster, safer and more comfortable
Opatovice nad Labem, 13 June 2016 – Správa železniční dopravní cesty (the Czech Railway Infrastructure Administration) built a second track in the line section Stéblová – Opatovice nad Labem. The project is a first part of the modernisation of the railway line Hradec Králové – Pardubice – Chrudim. The main asset of this construction is especially a line speed increase and ensuring higher passenger comfort and safety.

Regular passenger train collided with a truck at Praha-Chodov
Prague, 10 June 2016 – Fortunately, the collision was only a simulation. By this demonstration of railway firemen’s training, Správa železniční dopravní cesty (the Czech Railway Infrastructure Administration) joined the International Level Crossing Awareness Day ILCAD 2016. The topic of this year is the issue of ignoring warning signals at railway crossings by car drivers

Operation on the line Trutnov - Teplice nad Metují is safer thanks to modernisation of railway crossings
Teplice nad Metují, 8 June 2016 – Správa železniční dopravní cesty (the Czech Railway Infrastructure Administration) modernised railway crossings on the line Trutnov - Teplice nad Metují. The biggest asset of this project is an increase of safety in this line section as well as smoother railway and road transport and higher comfort for passengers.

SŽDC Student Cup for Prague students for the fourth time
Prague, 8 June 2016 – Správa železniční dopravní cesty (the Czech Railway Infrastructure Administration) will welcome students of primary school 8th and 9th class for the four year of the all-day sports and educational event SŽDC Student Cup as they are going to choose their future profession soon. The project’s objective is presenting railway professions to students by an entertaining form and motivating them in choosing high school technical specialisations.

Regular passenger transport timetable change as of 12 June
Prague, 7 June 2016 – Správa železniční dopravní cesty (the Czech Railway Infrastructure Administration) prepared a regular change of passenger transport timetable as of Sunday 12 June on 77 lines of the basic railway network in total and on several more with nostalgic and excursion trains. This occurred based on requests from respective carriers and regions.

Tunnel boring machine Victoria sees daylight again after 500 days and 4 kilometres
Plzeň-Doubravka, 7 June 2016 – A breakthrough into the portal right in front of the Plzeň district Doubravka ends the digging of the Ejpovice tunnel southern tube over four kilometres long. After working for almost a year and a half underground, the tunnel boring machine Victoria will see daylight partly at least. The festive event was attended by representatives of SŽDC (the Czech Railway Infrastructure administration), the State Fund for Transport Infrastructure, the supplying companies Metrostav and Subterra as well other construction participants and guests.

Revitalisation of the line Pardubice – Ždírec nad Doubravou improved its parameters
Chrudim, 3 June 2016 – Správa železniční dopravní cesty (the Czech Railway Infrastructure Administration – SŽDC) improved parameters on a part of the railway line Havlíčkův Brod – Pardubice. The main objective of the project is to achieve a technical state corresponding to EU parameters and standards.
