SŽDC Opened Three More Repaired Station Buildings in Central Bohemia
Správa železniční dopravní cesty (SŽDC) completed renovating three passenger buildings on a part of the “Sázava Pacific” train line between Ledečko and Zruč nad Sázavou in Central Bohemia. Repairs of station buildings were related to a complete line reconstruction in this section which was completed this June.

Trains near Teplice Will Ride Faster, People from Litvínov Will Acquire a Direct Connection to the Region Capital
The railway in the Krušné hory (Ore Mountains) area ín the Ústí nad Labem Region expects a substantial change in the period to come. Správa železniční dopravní cesty (SŽDC) started modernizing several localities in the neighbourhood of Teplice. The works’ completion will bring not only higher line speed, operation safety and travelling comfort but thanks to electrification also a possibility of a direct connection of Litvínov with the region capital. A festive launch of three constructions concerned took place today in Teplice.

ETCS System Installation on Main Lines in Prague and Neighbourhood Launched
Správa železniční dopravní cesty (SŽDC) continues introducing the European Train Control System (ETCS) on its network. In a year already, it will be installed in the line section Český Brod - Praha-Uhříněves. The festive launch of this project having as objective to put the modern train control system on the line from Kralupy nad Vltavou through Prague to Kolín into operation took place today in Prague.

Reconstruction of Line Lysá nad Labem – Čelákovice Begins. A New Bridge Will Span over Labe River
Správa železniční dopravní cesty (SŽDC) continues modernizing the line No 231. After recently completing the Čelákovice Station reconstruction, it festively launched today the optimization of a connecting section to Lysá nad Labem. Its most important part will be a construction of a new railway bridge over Labe River near the Čelákovice-Jiřina railway stop. Total estimated investment costs exceed CZK 1.8 billion; the reconstruction should be completed in the first half of 2022.

Trains Will Arrive from Louny Centre to Lovosice in One Hour
Increasing line speed up to 100 kph was the result of revitalization of the line from Louny to Lovosice which was festively completed today by Správa železniční dopravní cesty (SŽDC). Besides decreasing journey times, it also brought higher comfort for passengers at reconstructed railway stations and stops as well as higher operation safety. The construction was launched in April last year with total cost exceeding CZK 1.2 billion.

Geodesists Chart Territory for High-Speed Line from Praha-Běchovice to Poříčany
Employees from companies with which Správa železniční dopravní cesty (SŽDC) concluded contracts on carrying out geodetic bearing of the terrain are already in the field between Prosenice and Ostrava-Svinov (HSL Moravian Gate), Modřice and Šakvice (HSl South Moravia) and since the end of September also between Praha-Běchovice and Poříčany (HSL Polabí). They prepare geodetic and map documentation for up to 130 kilometres of new lines.

Architectonic Contest Near Its Finale
The international jury decided today on the winning design for the architectonic solution of Praha-Veleslavín railway station. During a two-day session, it evaluated five final designs which moved from Phase 1. The contest was announced by Správa železniční dopravní cesty (SŽDC) in connection with the preparation and elaboration of the project ”Modernization and New Construction of the Line Praha-Veleslavín (included) – Praha-Letiště Václava Havla”.

Another Construction Launched on Corridor IV, Line Soběslav – Doubí Will Get Straightened
The reconstruction of Czech Transit Rail Corridor IV from Prague to South Bohemia enters its final phase. Today, Správa železniční dopravní cesty (SŽDC) festively launched modernization of last but one section between Soběslav and Doubí u Tábora. The construction with total costs exceeding CZK 4 billion will last until 2023. Due to the fact that this will be mostly a new line construction, it will have a minimal impact on passengers.

Kolín Prides Itself with a New Passenger Building
After a year-long complete reconstruction, Kolín ranks among more Central Bohemia cities embellished by a new passenger building. Today, Správa železniční dopravní cesty (SŽDC) festively completed the reconstruction works. The administration building and outer premises also underwent adaptations for a total price of CZK 76 million.

Two-day Geologic Workshop within the Czech-Saxon Cooperation Project
A two-day workshop of the project Cross-border cooperation for the development of railway transport Saxony – Czech Republic focused on geological survey took place on 8 – 9 October 2019. Under the geologists’ guidance, the project partners and invited guests visited gradually more than a dozen localities on both sides of the Czech-German border. Achieved results will help in preparing a high-speed connection between capitals of both countries.
